Level 1 Training Registration 2019

Welcome! We are pleased you are interested in our Level 1 Training Program….

  • WHERE –Training session will be held at the Crawford County Administration Building, 225 N. Beaumont Road, Prairie du Chien, WI 53821
  • WHEN – Tuesday evenings, 6-9 p.m. February 12* through April 2nd; final session Wednesday, April 10th.
    The February 12th session is a Mandatory Orientation Training**
  • EXPECTATIONS – meet the required 36 hours of in-depth training. Go to the Steps to Becoming a Master Gardener site to better understand the requirements.
  • COST: $90 – includes training manual, additional materials, handouts, etc. Classes are limited to the first 20 people who apply.
    • PAYMENT: To receive your manual on time, be sure to submit your payment WITH your registration forms.
      • If additional time is needed, contact our office and ask for Karen.  608-326-0223
      • IF you are e-mailing or faxing your application materials, be sure we have your payment by noon, January 18. 
    • REFUNDS: We will be ordering training manuals after 12 noon, January 18th, to be eligible for a refund, the following applies:
      • 100% refund if we receive your cancellation notice before 12 noon, January 18.
      • 50% refund if we receive your cancellation notice after 12 noon, January 18.
      • 0% refund after February 1.
  • DEADLINE: 12:00 PM, January 18.

Criminal Background Check – Required – (This will be completed once we receive the forms listed above) –  Because your prospective volunteer position is identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations, as part of the University of WI application process , a Criminal Background Check is necessary.  For complete details on why this is required and the full CBC procedure, please click HERE
