The following is the process we followed in 2020, prior to COVID-19. It’s possible, when we are able to resume with training, this same procedure will be in place. However, it is subject to change.
Please note – Registration Deadline – 12 Noon, Friday January 10
- WHERE –Crawford County Administration Building, 225 N. Beaumont Road, Prairie du Chien, WI 53821
- WHEN – Tuesdays 6-8:30/9:00 PM (Scroll to bottom of page to find class schedule)
- February 4, we offer a mandatory orientation to discuss the requirements and application process followed by
- Weekly sessions from February 11th through March 31st and
- A final session Wed. April 8.
- Cost: $90 – includes training manual, additional materials, handouts, etc. Classes are limited to the first 20 people who apply.
- BE SURE to submit your payment WITH your registration form
- Form can be found under Process section below

- IF you are e-mailing or faxing your application materials, be sure we have your payment by noon, January 10th.
- Refund Policy – Because we will be ordering training manuals after 12 noon, January 10th, 2020

- If you paid for the training prior to noon, January 10th, to be eligible for a refund the following applies:
- 100% refund if you cancel and we receive cancellation verification before 12 noon, January 10th.
- 50% refund if you cancel application and receive cancellation verification after 12 noon, January 10.
- 0% refund after January 31, 2020.

Criminal Background Check – Required – (This will be completed once we receive the forms listed above) – Because your prospective volunteer position is identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations, as part of the University of WI application process , a Criminal Background Check is necessary. Level 1 Training 2020 Class Lineup Class Starts at 6 pm.
If the weather is bad listen to the radio or check the Prairie du Chien Public School web site, our policy is if school is canceled we have no class. We will reschedule any missed classes. If in doubt call Donna at 608-412-4661
