Aging Healthy (Life Span)
UW-Madison Division of Extension’s Life Span programs help individuals, families and communities transition through the aging process by providing programming, resources and support on topics such as, family caregiving, healthy aging and creating aging-friendly communities.
Currently, Crawford County offers two Aging Healthy (Life Span) classes: Planning AHEAD and StrongBodies. Our county programming changes throughout the year with new and recurring classes to be offered. Check back in to stay up-to-date on current classes.

StrongBodies™ | Winter 2026
The StrongBodies™ program is a 10-12 week exercise program is for all ages of men and women. Each class includes progressive weight training, flexibility, and balance activities. This program catalyzes positive change in people of all ages to live stronger, healthier lives by providing knowledge, inspiration, access to programs, and ongoing support.

PlanningAHEAD
Planning AHEAD (Advance directives, Handling financial changes, Estate planning, and Arriving at Decisions for the end of this life) is a 7-session program that helps participants understand how to plan for the end of life for themselves or a loved one.
Dates: Thursdays, April 2 – May 14, 2026
Time: 11:00 am -12:00 pm
Session topics:
• Getting Started (April 2nd)
• Handling Financial Changes (April 9th)
• Advance Medical and Legal Directives (April 16th)
• Estate Planning (April 23rd)
• Choices in End-of-Life Care (April 30th)
• Final Wishes (May 7th)
• Understanding Grief (May 14th)
$30 fee includes the workbook which will be sent to you before the start of the course.
