Encouraging Financial Conversations

Encouraging Financial Conversations is a program designed for you (or anyone who works as a case manager, social worker, or other frontline staff) to help empower clients to achieve their financial goals and manage their money. As a participant, you will learn techniques and strategies to help your clients create a financial goals action plan, build and maintain good credit, pay off debts, develop a spending and savings plan, and protect themselves from fraud and identity theft. You will also learn coaching strategies that capitalize on a client’s strengths and resources in coming up with solutions.

Join Extension Educators from Sauk, Grant, Iowa, Crawford, and Richland Counties on Tuesdays and Thursdays in April for a virtual learning series from 2pm-3pm. Each session we’ll cover content related to the key building blocks of financial security and how you can feel confident sharing this material with your clients. All sessions are offered live via zoom, and we ask everyone to pre-register here: https://go.wisc.edu/31916c Once registered, you’ll be provided with connection information and a video to watch ahead of the first session. The first live zoom class is April 13th, last class is April 29th. Please see this flier for additional information https://go.wisc.edu/v7bv6r , or contact your local Extension Educator with any questions. We look forward to seeing you for Encouraging Financial Conversations!
