Free Pressure Canner Testing
Have your dial gauge tested for free at the Extension Crawford County Office in Prairie du Chien. Your dial gauge MUST be a Presto Canner gauge in order for us to test it. To receive instructions on where to deliver your dial gauge and lid, you will need to call 608.326.0223, M-F, 8am-4:30 pm to schedule drop off.
Although it’s possible same day testing could occur, it should not be expected. So, be sure to plan ahead for us to best accommodate your need. You will be notified within three business days when your items are ready for pick up.

FoodShare/Snap
As of October 15, 2004 the name of the federal Food Stamp Program in Wisconsin has been changed to “FoodShare Wisconsin “. This essential food and nutrition program no longer uses “stamps” to deliver benefits to persons enrolled in the program. The Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services hopes that this new name and image will foster an expansion of the program so all eligible children and families receive the food and nutrition assistance they need.

WIC is the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) helps families stay healthy by providing:
• Nutrition education.
• Breastfeeding support.
• Healthy foods.
• Referrals to health services and other resources.
Free and Reduced School Lunch
Free and reduced school meals are offered to qualifying students.
